We support the activities of the Fall Prevention Study Group (RoomT2), a forum where medical safety managers can exchange information and ideas. With the goal of achieving zero injuries from fall accidents by providing evidence and knowledge, we share approaches and case examples for fall prevention. Underlying this is a perspective of not simply stopping movement through physical restraints or activity restrictions, but also of achieving both patient independence and a safe recuperation environment. By integrating the latest sensor technologies and bed innovations with frontline knowledge, we promote the creation of mechanisms that prevent accidents while protecting quality of life.

In addition to case examples of planning and in-hospital standardization that deliver results, we also introduce practical fall prevention measures through individualized nursing that utilizes sleep data from the body motion sensor.
