Addressing the “silent resignation” of working women in the menopausal age group: Silent Shift

There exists a “silent shift” by which women in the menopausal age group quietly leave their careers because they cannot reach out to others about their health issues. Together with HITOBITO.inc, we conducted a reality survey of 2,000 working women aged 45–55 and found that about 70% may have insomnia symptoms. This highlighted the reality that decreased daytime performance and mental instability caused by chronic sleep deprivation form the basis of serious, unignorable health issues. In response to this issue that directly leads to an invisible human loss for companies, we are promoting activities to resolve the “silence of human capital.” We aim to realize a society where women can shine as individuals throughout their lives and continue working sustainably.
