Excretion care in nursing care services is an important task for understanding users’ health conditions. At the same time, it is a major physical and mental burden for staff to check the frequency of excretion and the condition of excreta. To protect users’ dignity, technology to automate excretion care has also been needed.
In response, Paramount Bed Co., Ltd. proposes DX for excretion care using sensors. We have achieved the automatic detection of excretion into diapers and the automatic recording of toilet use and the condition of excreta. Through linkage with Nemuri CONNECT, it is possible to centrally manage not only excretion data but also sleep, weight, and temperature/humidity records. This reduces the burden on staff and helps prevent turnover. These DX solutions for excretion care were born from a wish to enable people to do what people do naturally.
